My Role

My role within Cisco is a Lead UX Designer for Cisco Collaboration Devices focusing on the In-Meeting experience. I am responsible for the experience that all users have within a meeting on these devices. These areas include; participant lists, chat features, AI assistant, recording, muting video and audio, digital whiteboarding, content sharing, call controls, reactions and more. I have been in this role since 2022.
I work in 2 week sprints for a number of different teams who work on different areas of the experience. My duties as a UX lead for these areas include the design and maintenance of the areas I own from conception to public release as well as user testing and validation. I work closely with the other UX designers based in Norway as well as the Visual Designers and Researcher.
In my role we use Jira to track the tasks assigned to us to keep track of what is needed from each team. I mainly use Figma for prototyping as well as Miro for collaboration. Cisco as a whole uses Webex for communication within the organisation.
